The Public Employees' Retirement System of Mississippi (PERS) is pleased to host the 67th Annual Southern Conference on Teacher Retirement (SCTR) and, in keeping with the Southern hospitality you have come to expect from SCTR, we would like to extend a warm invitation to each of you. This year's conference will be held May 15-18 at the Beau Rivage Resort in Biloxi, located on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Biloxi is a blend of Southern charm, beach fun, fast-paced casino action, great golfing, and deep-sea fishing.

SCTR is an excellent opportunity for retirement system staff and trustees to expand their knowledge on a variety of subjects, including investment management, economics, public pension issues, and world events. In addition to the educational program, an important component of the conference is the chance to network with other attendees. The 2011 SCTR conference has been designed to provide outstanding speakers and networking opportunities for trustees, administrators, and associate members. Prominent outside experts and entertaining presenters have been lined up for the conference, and planned activities will be offered so that, in addition to learning more about public pensions, you may also enjoy your leisure time on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
